ICAI to Sign MOU with CBSE

Aniket S. Talati, the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), revealed during a news conference held on January 22 that the ICAI and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would shortly be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

ICAI will introduce study material about financial independence, which will include modules like 'Fundamentals of Financial Planning', ''Banking and Credit', 'understanding Financial Statements', 'Basics of Taxation', 'Investment Planning', and ‘Retirement Planning'.

The motive of the collaboration between ICAI and CBSE is basically to provide counselling sessions to CBSE students and guide them about the future. The Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in this counselling session will elaborate on the opportunities that are available after becoming a Chartered Accountant and what are the ways a student can utilise CA to furnish his or her career.

During these two days, ICAI will also sign Memorandums of Understanding with eleven colleges. Under the terms of the partnership, ICAI will provide help to colleges and universities in a number of areas, such as the creation of content, online and recorded lectures, faculty development programmes, and commerce curricula.

This announcement was made during ICAI’s National Education Summit on Commerce and Accountancy (NES-CA), which is being held on January 22 and 23 in New Delhi.
