What is JEE Main 2023 Exam Date?

NTA releases JEE Main Exam Dates along with the official notification. NTA is likely to conduct JEE Main 2023 twice (in April and May). JEE Main 2023 Phase 1 is to be conducted in the fourth week of April and JEE Main 2023 Phase 2 in the fourth week of May 2023 (tentatively). JEE Main 2023 Application Form date will also be announced along with the official notification. Candidates can expect JEE Main 2023 notification and application form to be released in the first week of March 2023. Candidates appearing or have passed class 12th from a recognized board are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2023.

Will there be JEE in 2023?

UGC is considering merging JEE Main and NEET with CUET. However, according to the Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, there is no immediate proposal for merging the three exams. Also, it will take at least two years to decide and conduct a combined test.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Date is announced along with the official notification. NTA will likely release JEE Main 2023 Exam Date in the first week of March 2023. In line with the past trends of holding JEE Main over multiple dates, JEE Main 2023 exam date for Phase 1 and Phase 2 will also be spread over multiple days.

JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates born on or after October 1, 1998, are eligible to sit for JEE Main 2023.
  • SC/ST/PWD candidates, on the other hand, are eligible for 5-year age relaxation and must be born on or after October 1, 1993.
  • The date of birth on the candidate's higher secondary education (10th) certificate will be taken into account.

JEE Main 2023 Academic Qualification

  • Applicants must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute in the year 2022 or 2023
  • Candidates who took the 12th class exam in 2020 but did not pass the exam are ineligible to take the exam again, even though they pass the exam later.
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be required subjects in the qualifying test.
  • Candidates who take the qualifying exam will also be considered.
  • Candidates who have completed three-year diploma programs will be accepted as well.
  • For the last two years, NTA has removed the minimum 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Main.
