From Corporate to IAS: UPSC Topper Aditya Srivastava Sets Sights on Civil Service

Aditya Srivastava, the 2023 UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) topper, has revealed his aspirations to serve the nation as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Srivastava, who hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, expressed his excitement to contribute to positive change at the grassroots level.

"While ranking first wasn't even a dream, cracking the UPSC with a focus on IAS was always the goal," Aditya Srivastava said in a recent interview. His journey is an inspiration to many, transitioning from a high-paying corporate job to pursuing his civil service dream.

Aditya Srivastava, an IIT Kanpur graduate, initially secured a position in Bengaluru after his studies. However, the desire for societal impact led him to resign and dedicate himself fully to UPSC preparation. Though his first attempt proved unsuccessful, his determination paid off, securing a place in the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2022.

Aditya Srivastava's father, Ajay Kumar Srivastava, remarked, "This year, I decided to give it my all for IAS," considering his son's tenacity. The success of Srivastava highlights the commitment and concentration needed to be a UPSC topper.

With its focus on the transformational power of hard work and concentrated ambition, Srivastava's narrative stands as a beacon of hope for anyone hoping to establish a name for themselves in the civil service.
