What is MBA?

The MBA programme is a management and marketing-focused academic degree. It covers topics like organisational behaviour, marketing, management principles, supply chain management, operations management, and so on. Amazon, Apple, Bain & Company, Citigroup, Deloitte, Facebook, and Accenture are among the top MBA recruiters. Finance Manager, Product Manager, Strategy Manager, HR Manager, and other middle management positions are commonly available to MBA graduates. Students who complete the MBA programme may expect to earn between INR 8 lakh and INR 30 lakh per year.

MBA Course: Key Highlights

  • MBA is a popular subject since it is open to students from all disciplines, including science, business, and humanities.
  • A typical MBA programme lasts two years and is broken into four or six semesters. There are, however, several private colleges that offer one-year PGDM programmes.
  • MBA programmes are available in a variety of formats, including full-time, part-time, online, and distance education. Interested individuals can also select programmes tailored to their work expertise, such as Executive MBA programmes.
  • Instead of an MBA, several management colleges offer a Post-Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD), or Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management. Except for the recognition, there isn't much of a difference between the two.
