Question Paper Blunder: Jammu and Kashmir Class 12 Exams on Hold

Students appearing for their Class 12 Physical Education exam in Jammu and Kashmir were left surprised on March 20th when they received question papers meant for Class 11. This error, attributed to a packaging mistake by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), forced the board to postpone the exam.

The discrepancy was identified by the students themselves, leading to confusion and disappointment. JKBOSE acknowledged the lapse and swiftly postponed the physical education exam for Class 12. Officials have assured that a new date will be announced soon.

Taking the matter seriously, the Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a committee to investigate the incident. The committee, comprising Directors of School Education from Jammu and Kashmir, will probe the circumstances that led to the wrong question paper distribution and identify those responsible for the error. Their findings are expected within a week.

This incident highlights the importance of proper exam management and raises concerns about potential shortcomings in JKBOSE's procedures. The probe is expected to shed light on these issues and ensure such errors are prevented in the future.
