Delhi's government intends to move to a hybrid schooling system.

Atishi Marlena, Education Minister, said that, considering the disruptions caused by adverse weather and the COVID pandemic to school schedules in recent years, the Delhi government has introduced the Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS).

In response to the persistent and adverse weather conditions affecting the capital, the Delhi government has announced the implementation of a hybrid learning system for educational institutions across the city. The decision aims to ensure the uninterrupted education of students while mitigating the challenges posed by inclement weather.

Delhi has been grappling with unfavourable weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, extreme temperatures, and air quality concerns, causing disruptions in regular academic activities. Recognising the need for a flexible approach to education, the government has introduced a hybrid learning model that combines both in-person and online classes.

The new system will enable schools and colleges to seamlessly transition between physical and virtual learning modes, providing students with the flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions. Officials believe that this approach will not only safeguard the health and well-being of students and staff but also maintain the continuity of education during challenging times.
