ASER 2023: More Girls Than Boys Likely To Continue Their Education After Class 12

The 'Beyond Basics' survey from ASER 2023, which was carried out in 28 districts throughout 26 states, served as the basis for this research.
During the research, around 35,000 youth participated in the age group of 14–18 years.
The research states that girls are more likely to continue their education after class 12. Some girls feel that this is a way they can escape doing household chores. Girls are usually interpreted to get married between the ages of 21 and 23, and they feel they can use this time to do something productive.
Girls now-a-day wish to be self-independent and also financially independent so that during a difficult time in the future they can survive and take care of themselves and their families too.
Boys, on the other hand, have the authority to make decisions, and they can choose to drop out of school as per their choice.
According to the results of the ASER 2023 poll, more boys than girls said they didn't intend to continue their education after high school. During the debate, boys talked about the possibility of quitting school after finishing their education, while girls talked about wanting to study at least at the college level.
