Anant National University Makes Entrance Exams More Inclusive with Five Language Options

Anant National University is pioneering a new approach to entrance exams, aiming to create a more inclusive environment for aspiring students in design education. The university announced that the second round of their Anant Design Entrance and Proficiency Test (ADEPT) will be conducted in five languages: English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Tamil.

This initiative marks a significant step towards inclusivity in design education. Traditionally, entrance exams have been offered primarily in English, potentially creating a barrier for talented students who may be more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language.

"Design goes beyond language," said Ajay Piramal, president of Anant National University. "This opportunity for students to attempt ADEPT in any of the five languages is a true reflection of this philosophy. Each student has the chance to showcase their talent and potential in a language they are most comfortable with."

The ADEPT assesses a candidate's design aptitude, creativity, problem-solving skills, and general awareness. By offering the test in multiple languages, Anant National University opens doors to a wider range of talented individuals, fostering a more diverse student body in design education.

The second round of ADEPT is scheduled for April 7th, 2024. Students who want to pursue design education can register for the online entrance exam on the Anant National University website.
