What is CUET:-

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), formerly recognized as the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET), is a nationwide examination conducted by the National Testing Agency. The test is designed for admissions to a wide range of academic programs, including doctorate, postgraduate, undergraduate, integrated postgraduate, diploma, certification courses, and research programs offered by 45 Central Universities across India. Additionally, numerous state universities and deemed universities in India also accept CUET scores for admissions.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to release the CUET application form for 2024 tentatively in the second week of February 2024. The registration period is expected to conclude by the last week of March 2024, and the entire application process will be conducted online. NTA will provide a list of CUET UG Help Centres dedicated to assisting applicants in completing and submitting their application forms. Importantly, seeking help from these centres will incur no additional cost.

Upon successful registration, NTA will issue the CUET intimation slip to candidates. This document will include crucial information such as the exam centre's city, date, slot, and paper. The CUET 2024 admit cards are expected to be released in the third week of May 2024, with candidates required to download them at least three days before the exam date. CUET UG 2024 is anticipated to be conducted in 295 cities across India and abroad. In the preceding year, 2023, a total of 28 lakh candidates registered for the CUET UG exam. Notably, Banaras Hindu University and Delhi University received the highest number of applicants

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Program

In the previous year, CUET's eligibility criteria mandated that candidates should get a minimum of 50% marks in their +2 examinations for the General category and 45% for SC/ST candidates. It is important to note that the subjects selected during the +2 phase must align with the specific course of interest.

Moreover, aspiring candidates should be Indian nationals and are required to apply to three Participating Universities, indicating three program preferences under CUET. Potential applicants have the opportunity to submit their CUET applications while immediately completing the qualifying examination for the university. However, it is required for them to furnish the passing certificate during the counselling process. This ensures compliance with the necessary academic prerequisites for admission. There is no age restriction for candidates applying to CUET (UG)
