What's new at St. Joseph's College of Commerce?

Established in the year 1882, St. Joseph's College of Commerce was formerly a part of St. Joseph's College. In the year 1972, this college became an independent entity, and in 2004, it became an autonomous institution. UGC named this college as “College with Potential for Excellence” in the year 2010. In addition to that, it has earned Grade A from NAAC. In the year 2010, Banglore University recognised this college as a research centre. Presently, this college offers education at the undergraduate and master's levels. It is one of the first five colleges in the state to be conferred with autonomy.

St. Joseph's College of Commerce Admissions

The last date for MCom application is extended till Aug 16 and the last date to apply for PGD Weekend Programme is August 23.

Candidates interested in applying to this college have to fill the admission form, which is available on the college's official website. Additionally, students have to submit all the relevant information, including their academic records and personal details in this application form. Students can also apply for admission under the Sports Quota offered by this institute. These students must be state and national level players, with more than 60% marks in their 12th standard. Candidates applying under this quota need to submit the application form to the sports department of the university. Applicants must submit the applications before the deadline approaches.

St. Joseph's College of Commerce Placements

This college established its placement cell in the year 1999. Every year, many leading organizations come to this college to recruit talents. Some of the prime recruiting partners of this college are Deloitte, First American, Decathlon, HSBC Bank and Google. Furthermore, 190 students were enrolled in the placement cell, out of which 166 students received employment. The average CTC offered to the students was Rs 2,75,000 to 3,45,000 and the highest salary package was Rs 13,90,000 approximately. Students were offered excellent roles in various fields, including finance, marketing, human resources and public relations. Apart from this, the placement cell also conducts career mapping workshops to guide students in finding the best career option for them

St. Joseph's College of Commerce Admission 2023: Highlights

  • The admission process begins in the month of February every year for all UG and PG programmes
  • Admission to BCom is based on merit
  • For BBA programme, the aspirant needs to appear for SMAT followed by GD and Interview
  • Candidates interested in MCom are required to appear for SPGAT exam followed by an interview
  • PGDM admissions are merit-based
  • The admissions are also granted under Sports Quota to the candidates with an extraordinary performance in sports

St. Joseph's College of Commerce Application Process 2023

  • The application forms should be filled and submitted online through the college website.
  • After filling the form successfully, pay the application fees through the payment gateway connected to the application form.
  • If you have paid the application fees through Demand Draft (DD) or if you have paid the fees at the College office, enter the DD Number or the Receipt Number in the space provided in the application form.
  • On successful payment transaction and submission of the online application, the candidate should note down the 6 digit application number. The same should be quoted for all further correspondences during the time of admissions.
  • The candidates will receive the e-admit card on completion of the application process. In case a candidate is not able to download the admit card for any reasons, contact admission@sjcc.edu.in

  • Group – A Scholarships for the Economically Backward : An economically weak student from Degree or PG courses, especially from the rural areas is eligible to apply for a scholarship provided he/she furnishes enough evidence for his/her eligibility, enclosing a community/income certificate. A good academic record (passed in all subjects with 70% and above) is also required. Maximum student scholarship per candidate Rs.5,000/- Number of scholarships awarded – 50
  • Group – B Scholarships for Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities : Any student who is actively associated with the literary/cultural or sports activities of the college and has sufficient proof to support his/her application can apply. The application should have the reference of the least 2-3 staff members. Maximum student scholarship per candidate Rs.5000/- Number of scholarships – 25
