ICT, MUMBAI OVERVIEW

ICT Mumbai was established on October 1, 1933, as the University Department of Chemical Technology and is a public university that is accredited by NAAC and NBA. Since then, it has grown to become a superior college dedicated to research, and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, and applied chemistry. ICT Mumbai declared Elite Status and Centre of Excellence. Admission for the course is based on entrance exams such as MHTCET and JEE Main and the result for JEE Main has been declared on August 8, 2022.

ICT Mumbai Admission

The admission to the UG Courses is based on the rank/cut-off of the aspirant in the JEE Mains/ MAH CET examination whereas the admission to the PG courses is based on the score obtained by the candidate in the GATE/ GPAT examination.

  • The candidate should visit the JEE Mains/ MAH CET or the GATE/ GPAT portal and click on the link related to UG/ PG candidature registration.
  • The candidate is advised to duly fill in the basic details in the application form and upload all the required documents, photographs, and signatures on the portal.
  • Upon completion of the above-mentioned steps, candidates are advised to pay the prescribed application fee to complete the application process.
  • Admission will be done based on the rank/cut-off of the candidate in the entrance examination, availability of seats, and preference of the candidate.

ICT Mumbai Placements

The institute provides a decent placement opportunity to its students. The placement percentage is 90% which is very decent. The highest package offered at the institute was INR 18 LPA whereas the average package offered was INR 5 LPA. Top-notch companies like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Johnson & Johnson, Jacobs, ITC, Pidilite Industries, Nerolac, UOP India Private Limited, Mario, Honeywell, Tata Motors visit the institute for campus recruitments.

ICT Mumbai Scholarships

The institute provides various scholarships to the needy and meritorious students as listed below.

  • MCM Scholarships- This is a merit-based scholarship program. Under this, there are various general and departmental scholarship programs awarded to the students.
  • NSF Scholarships- The institute also offers an NSF Scholarship to its PG students.
  • Community Scholarships- There are also scholarship programs for minority groups and backward classes via the National Scholarship schemes.

ICT, MUMBAI ADMISSION

ICT Mumbai offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels in the fields of engineering, Science, and doctoral courses. Admission to the UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses is based on exams like MHTCET/ JEE Main/ GPAT/ GATE/ NEET and written tests followed by a personal interview. MHTCET 2023 exams are ongoing for both PCM & PCB groups.

September 2, 2023: MHTCET Result is expected by Sept 15, 2023. ICT Mumbai admissions are open for the academic year 2023 for undergraduate, postgraduate, and P.h.D. degree courses.     Admission Review: Institute of Chemical Technology Admissions is both gate-based and non-gate-based, as it is called Tier 1 and Tier 2. Some courses only have entry to Tier 2, and some have both criteria without a gate. Students take their own exams. I qualified the gate exam, so I did it based on that. .
