The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two-year curriculum given by independent business institutions in India. Although the PGDM programme is regarded similar to the MBA programme, the costs for PGDM courses are extremely exorbitant when compared to the MBA programmes given by state and central institutions. PGDM courses are also available in distance and part-time formats, with durations varying per institute. Some institutes provide two-year part-time PGDM programmes, while others offer three-year or flexible programmes. Despite the fact that PGDM is a PG diploma programme, people who study it have excellent employment possibilities. The curriculum of PGDM courses is quite similar to those of MBA courses; however, this programme takes a more practical approach to management training. In order to prepare students for the industries, the curriculum includes rigorous follow-up through case studies.
