The eligibility criteria for IICD 2024 are as follows:

  • Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses: For admission to UG courses through the IICD entrance exam in 2024, candidates must have successfully completed their Class XII in any stream from a recognized board.
  • Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses: All applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university, with a background in Design or Architecture, for admission to PG courses. The institute's official website states, "Candidates who are Design/Architecture graduates can directly enrol in the 2-year MVoc program after successfully clearing the entrance test."
  • Note: Candidates currently undertaking their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the design entrance exam. However, if selected, their admission will be provisional, contingent upon the submission of the required eligibility certificates by the specified date set by IICD. Failure to submit the necessary certificates by the stipulated date will result in the cancellation of admission. In such cases, the admission fees paid for the first semester will not be refunded, as per the official website.
  • It's important to note that candidates graduating from a discipline other than Design and Architecture are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates will be "eligible for MVoc after completion of the 1-Year PG foundation offered at IICD, making the MVoc program 3 years for non-design background graduates," as mentioned on the official website.
