About Stella Maris College
Established in 1947, Stella Maris College is an independent Catholic women's college. It is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The university was founded by Mother Mary of Passion (Mother Mary of Passion) in 1877 and is run by the Sisters of Mary Franciscan Missionary Institute of Mary (Sisters of Mary Franciscan Missionary Institute of Mary).
The college is affiliated with the University of Madras. Almost 5,500 students from different backgrounds, communities and countries study in the college.
It has been accredited by NAAC with an A rating. Stella Maris College Admission 2022 is now open for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Various subjects such as History and Tourism, Sociology, English, Mathematics, Physics, Fine Arts, Business, Accounting, etc. are available for UG. For PG, the institute offers subjects like Mathematics, Economics, English, Fine Arts, and Social work.

Stella Maris College Admissions
Stella Maris College is a Catholic minority women's college run by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM), an order founded in 1877 by Saint Mary of the Passion (Helene de Chappotin) in Ootacamund, Tamil Nadu. It offers several undergraduate and graduate programs. programs and M.Phil. and Ph.D. special courses. Admission to all courses at Stella Maris College is strictly based on student performance in the qualifying/entrance examination.
The Institute is affiliated with the University of Madras. candidates are selected for all undergraduate programs (except BA English) based on merit in the qualifying examination (10 2). The selection procedure for all undergraduate programs begins after the announcement of the intermediate results. Selection for PG programs is based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam and interview round. Ph.D. candidates must pass an entrance exam to be admitted to the university. online applications for all programs have been uploaded on the college website.
Stella Maris College UG Admission
Stella Maris College offers several undergraduate programs including B.A, B.Sc, and B.Com. subsidized and self-financed courses in several departments. All the UG courses offered by the college are of three years duration except the BA (BVA) which is a regular four-year programme.

Stella Maris College PG Admission
The college also offers a wide range of PG courses for those graduates who want to pursue higher education in this institution. The postgraduate course lasts two years.
Apart from this, the college also offers one year PG Diploma courses in Computer Science and Medical Laboratory Technology and Master of Social Work (MSW) courses in three different disciplines.

Stella Maris College Hostel
The hostel is extraordinary with air-conditioned rooms of three. There is a table, cupboard, and a bed for each.
There is an attached bathroom with shower and heater facilities which are really well-kept. Also, we have a common refrigerator and Genset and WiFi facilities.
The food is quite good with different recipes every day though it becomes boring after a while.
Hostel fee is high at 50000 per semester and mess fees is 22000 per semester which is exorbitant. The hostel interview is similar to the college interview where the basic questions are asked, and whether we opt for ac or non-ac rooms.
