K.H.Patil Commerce College is a part of Veman Vidyavardhak Sangha which was established with B.Com. Course in the year 2011 and has been growing in strength year by year. K.H.Patil Commerce College has started Postgraduate (M.Com.) Course in the year 2018 to impart higher education to rural students. Veman Vidyavardhak Sangha(R) Hubli-Dharwad was established in 1953 by some philanthropists of North Karnataka with the objective of providing education to needy people. The Sangha is in a way, a unique institution since it has been serving not merely the cause of education but also social and religious causes. Educational activities of the Sangha were started by the astute statesman late Shri.K.H.Patil. Now under the able guidance of Shri.H.K.Patil, M.L.A. and former minister of Karnataka state, the Sangha has grown from strength to strength with many of its primary, secondary, and collegiate educations both in rural and urban areas.
