IIM Ahmedabad MBA Admissions 2023 has begun with CAT Registration. IIM Ahmedabad PGPX Round 2 Applications have started and the last date to apply is October 28, 2022; PGPX Round 3 Applications will conclude on December 12, 2022. IIM Ahmedabad Admission for PhD is ongoing and the last date to apply for the same is January 17, 2023. IIM Ahmedabad offers MBA as its flagship program and admission to the program is done as per the CAT score.

In the MBA Admisison Policy 2022, IIMA dropped Graduation marks while shortlisting and Class 10 and class 12 marks will be considered now while calculating Academic Rating. The college cited the inability of most of the universities to conduct a proper exam due to COVID 19. Further, IIM Ahmedabad will award 65% weightage to CAT exam score and 25% weightage to the final MBA selection round.

IIM Ahmedabad MBA selection process is a 2 step process, wherein step 1, the institute releases the first shortlist solely on the basis of CAT Score and in step 2, selected candidates are called for AWT & Personal interview and hence the second cutoff is released on the basis of IIMA MBA Selection Criteria. IIM Ahmedabad has recently welcomed PGP and PGP-FABM 2022-24 Batch. The batch consists a total of 444 students combined. IIM Ahmedabad PGP batch size is 398 for 2022 where non engineering students stands at 33.5% in enrollment and Engineering students remained 66.5%. IIMA PGP-FABM 2022 welcomed 47 candidates and all werre from Agricultural and allied backgrounds.

Out of the total Female students in IIM Ahmedabad PGP Batch remained 23% which is a slight dip from previous year’s female enrollment of 28%. IIM Ahmedabad PGPX (one year PGP) Admissions 2023 is ongoing now. The college is acceptting applications for admission to the program. IIM Ahmedabad PGPX Registration will be done in 3 phases. Admission will be granted on the basis of GMAT and GRE score. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of GMAT/ GRE score will have to further appear for a zoom interview on the said dates.

The candidate seeking admission to PGPX program of IIM Ahmedabad should have a 4 year of full-time work experience after graduation. Moreover, IIM Ahmedabad also offers a postgraduate program in Food and Agri-business Management (PGP-FABM), full time 1-year ePost Graduate Program.

IM Ahmedabad is the topmost B-School amongst all the other IIMs in the country. The institute is not only known for its premier status but also for its high ROI. The average fee for its MBA program ranges at INR. 23 LPA, while the average package bagged by its students ranges above INR. 25 LPA.

The insttiute has concluded its placement drive for the batch 2022 and this year, 220 offers were rolled out by 190 recruiters. For the 2022–24 PGP batch, IIM Ahmedabad has completed its summer internship placements.

There were 60 Firms involved in Phase 1. The Boston Consulting Group was the top employer with 28 offers. Bain and Company came in second with 23 offers. In the past year, cluster 1 offers from abroad have increased by 50% at IIM Ahmedabad. Phase 2 of the placement drive saw participation from about 50 companies, and Adani Group came out on top with 16 offers. 35 companies took part in Phase 3, and TCS came out on top with 11 offers. IIM A has concluded its placements drive for the 2022 batch of PGPX(One Year MBA) during which the median salary increased by 21% from INR 30 Lakhs maximum earning potential (MEP) of last three years to INR 36.2 LPA. The Highest Package MEP for the one year MBA at IIM A was at three year low of INR 75.2 LPA in domestic packages.

This year 5 International Offers were made which is the highest in the past four years. The median International package stood at $1,50,297. 172 offers were made to 121 students. A total of 20 new companies participated this year. IIM Ahmedabad has concluded of placements for the PGP class of 2022 with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as one of the top recruiter with 47 offers including PPOs. The first Cluster comprised of four Cohorts: Investment Banking and Markets, Management Consulting, Advisory Consulting and equity, Venture Capital and Asset Management. From Finance firms, Goldman Sachs made the highest number of offers (7) including Pre - Placement Offers.

The second cluster was conducted on 11 February, 2022 in which TATA Administration Services (TAS) made the highest number of domestic offers while Emaar made the highest number of International offers and Consumer Goods and Durable Firms made the maximum number of offers closely followed by Conglomerates. On February 14, 2022, IIM Ahmedabad completed the third cluster of the final placement process for the PGP class of 2022. Analytics & IT Consulting, Banking Insurance, Consumer Tech, Core Manufacturing & Infrastructure, Enterprises Tech, Financial Services, FinTech, and Government Enterprises were among the eight cohorts in the third cluster. During the third cluster placements, the Fintech firms made the most offers, with 50% of the offers being overseas and Mexican Consumer Payments major UnDosTres emerged as the largest recruiter in phase 3. IIM-A placements also witnessed the participation of various new recruiters this year across various cohorts including Garena, Eightfold.ai and H&R Johnson (Prism Johnson Limited). A total of 220 offers were rolled out by 190 participating firms.

The institute is conducting its placement drive for the PGP FABM programme and 46 students were placed and students got placed under some of the top industry giants such as- BCG, Nomura, Ola, Samsung Electronics, CK Birla Group, Accenture, American Express, Arthur D. Little, Avendus, Bain & Co, Citi, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and etc. IIM Ahmedabad inaugurated its Final Placement drive on March 2, 2021 wherein the students bagged 32 jobs under the consulting domain on Day 1. During the Cluster-2, Consumer goods major Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Samsung Electronics and CK Birla Group made the highest number of offers at six each including pre-placement offers (PPOs).

The placement process came to a conclusion with the Cluster-3, wherein, the maximum number of offers were made by Analytics and IT Consulting firms followed by BFSI. Yet again IIM Ahmedabad recorded a 100% placement rate for the 2021 placement drive. The institute has released its PGPX Placement report for the batch 2021 and its 15th batch received the highest ever CTC of INR 83 LPA till now and the average CTC stood at INR 30 LPA.

Under the FABM program, the institute witnessed the participation of 32 companies ranging from sectors such as Agri Inputs and Services, Food and Agri Consulting, Agri Commodity Trading, AgriTech, Logistics and Supply Chain, FMCG, Food Processing, e-Commerce, Retail, Biomedical and Pharmaceuticals. During the Summer Internships placements for the batch 2023, 45 recruiters participated in the process and BCG emerged as the top recruiter with 26 offers followed by Kearny with 24 offers during the Cluster 1 summer internship process and the institute also concludes cluster 2 summer internship placements during which Hindustan Unilever stood as the top recruiter with 14 offers. The institute has concluded its summer internships placements for the batch 2023 and over 20 firms participated in the Cluster – 3 placements and TCS was top recruiter with 12 offers and a total of 47 students will do internships in April-June 2022.
