What is BPO?

A bachelor's degree in prosthetics and orthotics is a four-year full-time undergraduate programme that includes six months of required training in prosthetics and orthotics. A student wishing to pursue this programme must get at least 50% of the marks from a recognised board in four of the core subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Prosthetics and orthotics are primarily concerned with the rehabilitation of those who have locomotive or neuromuscular problems. This department also assists victims of sports injuries, accidents, foot difficulties, bodily discomfort, age-related concerns, and other diseases. This training is especially important in the management of amputees before and after surgery.

Admission to this programme is based on students passing their senior secondary examinations from a recognised board, followed by passing certain additional mandatory admission tests.

A bachelor's degree in prosthesis and orthotics is a popular career option for those who want to study courses like pharmacology, amputation surgery, and even comprehensive graphic communication to aid patients in practically any sector. After finishing this course, students will be able to adopt a clinical approach to treating patients with any prosthetic or orthotic diseases.
