About
Jamia Millia Islamia (also known as JMI) is a central university located in Delhi. It was established in 1920 and is recognized by UGC. It is a member of AIU and has category A accreditation from NAAC. Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 3rd and 7th in the "University" and "Law" categories in the NIRF 2022 rankings. According to NIRF 2022, the university also ranked 9th in the architecture categories and 16th in the dentistry category. The university has nine faculties and more than 220 UG, PG and PhD programmes. Apart from nine faculties, Jamia has several study and research centers including AJK Mass Communication Research Center (MCRC), Academy of International Studies, etc.
JMI has entered into MoU with Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Coast Guard to enable defense personnel to acquire degrees and diplomas through remote facility provided by CDOL once. In addition, the university has more than 100 collaborations each year to launch student and faculty exchange programs. Jamia Millia Islamia is also known for its international exchange programs offered in collaboration with several foreign universities. Recently, JMI researchers invented a solar-powered disinfection tunnel to prevent COVID-19.

Admissions
Jamia Admissions 2022 has been closed. Admissions for 2023 will start soon. However, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 notification will be released soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The JEE Mains 2023 exam will be held twice: in mid-January and in April, 2023.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) admission 2022 is open for UG courses. The last date for submitting the application form has been extended to 26.09.2022. Candidates seeking admission can apply online at the official website - jmicoe.in. From this year, admission to 10 UG courses will be through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA. Candidates who are interested in taking admission in these courses must fill the CUET 2022 application form on the official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in. Such aspirants must also register at the JMI admission portal.
Courses offered through CUET are BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) French and Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) History, BSc in Biotechnology, BVoc (Solar Energy), BSc (Hons) Physics and BA (Hons) Turkish Language and Literature.

Placements
Jamia Millia Islamia conducts MBA batch 2022 in which 25 companies participated. The highest CTC was INR 25 LPA offered by Amazon. Average CTC was INR 9 LPA.
JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA, NEW DELH Iis conducting its placement drive for the batch 2021 and a student of Computer science and commerce stream received a package of INR 14 LPA whereas on an average, around 100 students have been offered an Average Package of INR 7 LPA.
This year the drive was made almost due to the Covid-19 pandemic and more than 10 international companies participated in the event.
Around 7 M.Com students got offer in deloitte and more than 100 B.Tech and MCA students got internship offer.
