About Indian Institute of Management Ranchi
The 9th Indian Institute of Management was established in Ranchi in 2009. This was made possible through the broad support of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and the Government of Jharkhand under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
We started at a time when management schools around the world were being criticized for placing too much emphasis on competition, aggression and getting results by any means. The greatest challenge has been to revive the aura and exclusivity of classroom instruction in an age dominated also in education by the advent of technology. There was clearly a vacuum in terms of meeting the requirements of companies employing management students. It was crucial to rebuild the curriculum to bridge the gap between what was taught and what was needed in real business circles. Furthermore, it has become even more important to give students the feeling of being back in society. We understand the need to instill the right values ​​in young minds and also provide education relevant to an information age that encourages networking and collaborative advantage. We also decided to integrate contextual knowledge into the programs. IIM Ranchi currently offers a two-year MBA in General Management, our flagship program. Due to the growing importance and indispensability of human resources, we are the only IIM to offer a two-year full-time degree in human resource management (MBA-HR). We also offer a Fellowship Program in Management (FPM), a government-funded Fellowship Program and a 24-month Part-Time Diploma in Management (PGEXP). Our programs are delivered in a first-class manner, with students exposed to case studies, relevant projects and relevant industry experience in addition to classroom pedagogy. Our goal is to train effective managers and executives. We strive to ensure that our students develop the right skills needed to thrive and thrive in any organization. Equal emphasis is also placed on developing the right values ​​and attitudes in students to help them through times of trial and turmoil. We take great care in cultivating a winning spirit, which is why they are encouraged to participate in standard competitions across all platforms. IIM Ranchi Admissions 2023
IIM Ranchi offers MBA, MBA in Human Resources (MBA - HR), MBA in Business Analytics, Executive Programs, IPM, Certification Programs and Doctoral Programs. For executive programs, admission is based on an in-person interview, while admission to the IPM program is based on SAT or IPMAT scores, followed by an academic achievement assessment and an in-person interview. IIM Ranchi also offers certification programs. Admission to programs is based on profile assessment, academic results, work experience and statement of purpose.
For admission into the PhD program, applicants must hold a Masters or Postgraduate degree with first class or B.Tech with 6.5 CGPA or CA/ICWA/CS degree. Final selection for the program is based on CAT or GATE or GRE or GMAT or NET-JRF (UGC/CSIR) scores, followed by personal interviews and academic results. IIM Ranchi also offers a postdoctoral fellowship program in management. Applicants with a PhD with a good academic record and research potential are eligible to apply for the program.IIM-R Results Accepted

- The candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)] awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or must possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD,Government of India.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. The candidates are required to have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent till the latest examination.
- The program is designed for working mid-level executives from reputed organizations operating out of emerging economies. All the applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and with work experience in managerial / supervisory roles. Work experience of 5 years and more is desirable.

IIM RANCHI PLACEMENTS
IIM Ranchi is conducting its placement promotion for lot 2023 and a student has been presented with a higher package of INR 67 LPA offered by Tolaram Group. IIM Ranchi has released the placement report for Batch 2022. MBA and MBA HR students received an average salary of INR 16.17 LPA and INR 15.63 LPA respectively. The highest salary offered was INR 32.21 LPA which is almost 8.3% higher than the previous year.
More than 250 recruiters participated in the placement campaign. Major recruiters included Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, Infosys, EY, IBM, etc. The students were given various positions during the placement campaign. Some of the positions are asset management, wealth management, corporate banking, project management, etc. The final report of IIM Ranchi Summer Internships 2023 has also been released. The highest allowance was INR 3.50 lakhs per month. MBA, MBA BA and MBA HR students received an average stipend of INR 1 lakh per month, INR 92.50K per month and INR 1.20 lakh per month respectively. During the IIM Ranchi 2022 internships, more than 250 recruiters participated in the placement campaign. Major recruiters included Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, Infosys, EY, IBM, etc. The participating group consisted of 325 students. The students have been given various positions such as asset management, wealth management, corporate banking, project management, etc. During the placement campaign, the highest salary was INR 32.21 LPA.
