DTU is one of the oldest Engineering institutes in India. Established as Delhi Polytechnic institute, DTU became first engineering college of Delhi. The university is a part of TIFAC COREs (Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council's Centres of Relevance & Excellence) in Fiber Optics and Optical Communication. TIFAC COREs is an initiative of Govt of India which insists on industry and academia collaborations for research and development. DTU Delhi offers more than 90 courses in Engineering, Design, Science, and Management.
The 90 courses offered include 5 UG, 3 PG, and a PhD degree. The majority of the candidates seeking admission to the university opt for the BTech program. DTU BTech is the flagship program of the institute offered in 16 specializations. Selection to the program is based on JEE Main rank and JAC Delhi Counselling. DTU Cutoff
Delhi Technological University Cutoff indicates the minimum percentage required to take admission in a particular course. The University declares subsequent cut off lists until all the seats are filled in the affiliated colleges. DTU Cutoff is affected by a number of applicants in a year and the highest percentage scored by students in the concerned entrance exam. The university allows relaxation in cut off marks to SC, ST, OBC, ECA, PWD, and women candidates in all the reserved category.

Admissions
Admission to a majority of courses at DTU is subject to a valid score in national/ state/ university-level entrance exams. However, there are a few UG and PG programmes admission to which is subject to merit scores obtained by the students in their last academic and selection rounds.
DTU admission for BTech is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling is conducted by JAC Delhi. DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED, GATE, CAT, MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialized courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam (UG level) followed by an interview round. DTU campus comprises the DTU main campus, University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (also called DTU East Delhi campus) and Delhi School of Management (DSM). Together they offer UG, PG and doctoral programme in the field of Engineering, Design, Science and Management.
DTU B.Tech Admission 2023
Delhi Technological University (DTU) offers a full-time B.Tech course in 15 specializations. The minimum eligibility for admission is 10+2 (PCM) with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board of education. However, final admission is based on the score in JEE Main Followed by Joint Admission Counselling (JAC).
The university also accepts applications for B.Tech lateral entry admissions from the best eligible candidates. However, the NRI/ PIO/ Foreign Nationals candidates can take admission through DASA (Direct Admission of Students’ Abroad).
Key points
10% of marks are relaxed for SC/ST category candidates and 5% for OBC candidates.
10% relaxation of marks is also done for PwD candidates and under Defense, category 5% marks are relaxed.

Counseling fee (INR 1400) can be paid through Challan or Net Banking.
B.Tech (Evening) admission is made under two categories, i.e., Direct and Sponsored.
For B.Tech (Evening) program, the duly filled application form along with the application fee of INR 1000 in the form of DD drawn in favor of ‘Registrar, Delhi Technological University payable at Delhi should reach to Deputy Coordinator (Admin), DTU.
85% of seats are reserved for those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from the school located in Delhi or NCT of Delhi.
15% of seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the school located outside Delhi.
One seat in each course is reserved for Kashmiri Migrants (KM) and Single Girl Child (SG) who are residing in the NCT of Delhi.
One seat over and above the sanctioned intake is reserved for State/ Central Board Toppers.
DTU BBA,BA & B.Des.Admission 2023
University School of Management & Entrepreneurship (USME) is the new campus of Delhi Technological University located in East Delhi. It offers BBA and BA (Honors) Economics at UG level. 50% marks in 10+2 is the minimum eligibility criteria for these courses./
Admission is granted on the basis of marks in 10+2. DTU also offers B.Des. with an intake of 60 students which is offered for a duration of four years.
Minimum eligibility for B.Des. program is candidates must have passed 10+2/ PUC/ Intermediate examination or HSC Vocational examination recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Key Points:
85% seats are reserved for those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from the school located in Delhi or NCT of Delhi.

DTU M.Tech, MDes, and MSc Admission 2023
Delhi Technological University (DTU) offers M.Tech in various specializations for the duration of two years at PG level. BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. GATEqualified candidates are eligible for admission. No additional test or Interview is conducted by the University. DTU also offers admission Full-Time and Part-Time Sponsored M.Tech course through an entrance test. Admission to DTU MSc and MDes program is based on entrance test and UCEED scores. DTU conducts its own entrance exam for MSc admissions.
