College of Engineering, Pune is an autonomous Government institute and is affiliated with UniPune (Savitribai Phule Pune University). The College was founded in 1854 and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). In the Outlook - ICARE ranking for 2021, COEP is spotted at rank 18 among the Government Engineering colleges. The College offers various UG, PG and PhD courses in Management, Engineering and Technology streams. Students can also pursue one year PG Diploma programmes, selection to which are made through an online test/ interview.

Admission 2023
COEP admission 2023 is completely entrance-based for all courses offered by the institute. The college offers UG, PG, diploma and doctoral courses across various streams of Engineering, Architecture and Management. Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (UniPune), the institute accepts national/ state-level entrance exam scores for granting admissions, such as MHT CET, MAH CET and CEED, among others. While admission to most courses starts in May-June, admission to PhD are conducted twice every year in June and December.

- To apply for BTech and BPlan at COEP, candidates must apply via the DTE Maharashtra’s MHT CET exam.Here is the application process step by step:
- Open the official website and Click on ‘MHT CET 2022 Registration’.
- Fill in the required information and click on the submit button to finish the registration process.
- After registration, candidates are redirected to fill the detailed application form. Fill in all the necessary details.
- Upload scanned images of photo, signature and ID proof.
- Pay the application fees.

How to Apply for B.Tech at CoEP?
The application process includes application fee, documents required for submission and steps to be followed for applying and paying the fee.
Documents Required : The following documents must be submitted along with the online application:
- Recent and scanned passport-sized photograph.
- Self-attested photocopies of class X and XII mark sheets.
- Self-attested photocopies of any one of the identity proof- PAN/Voter ID/Aadhar Card/Permanent Driving License, etc.
Steps to Apply for MH-CET
- Login to www.mahacet.org and find the link on the left MH-CET.
- Click for new registration.
- Set up your email id and password after receiving an OTP on the registered mobile number.
- Fill in the required details and then submit them to generate the application form.
- You will be redirected to an acknowledgments page, click the checkbox to begin filling your application.
- After filling relevant and authentic information, re-read the application and submit by uploading the photograph along with the fee.
- You will get a confirmation on your registered email id.
- Keep a print out of both the application and the fee receipt for future reference.
