About WBJEE

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a centralized test administered by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. This state-government controlled examination serves as the gateway for admission to numerous private and governmental engineering institutions in West Bengal. Typically undertaken after the 12th grade, the WBJEE is a prerequisite for enrollment in undergraduate (Bachelor's) courses. Eligible candidates include those who have pursued Pure Science or Vocational 10+2 stream in the plus two level, with a focus on the specific subjects tested in the examination—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

General Eligibility:
• Nationality: To be eligible for WBJEE 2024, candidates must be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
• Age Limit: Candidates should be a minimum of 17 years old as of December 31, 2024, for admission to Engineering & Technology courses. There is no upper age limit, except for the Marine Engineering course, where the maximum age limit is 25 years.

For Engineering & Technology Course:
• Qualification: Candidates are required to have passed the 12th class or its equivalent from any Central Government board or recognized board.
• Subjects: In the qualifying exam, candidates must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science, etc.
• Marks: A minimum of 45% marks is required (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates).

For Pharmacy:
• Qualification: Candidates must qualify the 12th level or its equivalent from any recognized board.
• Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology are mandatory subjects.
• Marks: Applicants must score a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying exam.

For Architecture:
• Qualification: Candidates must pass the 12th or intermediate or its equivalent from any recognized board.
• Marks: A minimum of 50% marks in individual subjects is required.
• Subjects: In the qualifying exam, applicants must pass in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Scores: Appearing candidates must have valid scores in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).

Step 1: WBJEE 2024 Registration
• Initiate the WBJEE 2024 application process by registering on the official website.
• Carefully review the provided on-screen instructions before proceeding.
• Select 'New Candidate Registration' and furnish details such as name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.
• Verify the details and complete the registration process.
• An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number; validate it to finalize the WBJEE registration.
• Receive the WBJEE 2024 application number upon successful registration.

Step 2: Fill out the WBJEE 2024 Application Form
• Enter required details, including nationality, state of domicile, religion, category, income category, and qualification details.
• Provide contact details, including present and permanent addresses.
• Select three exam centers in order of preference.

Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature
• Following the form completion, upload scanned copies of a recent passport-size photograph and specimen signature as per specifications.
• Post-payment, verify and submit the details.

Step 4: Pay the WBJEE 2024 Application Fee
• For General Category: INR 500 (General Male), INR 400 (General Female, SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS/TFW Male), INR 300 (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS/TFW Female, Third Gender).
• Pay the fee through debit/credit card or net banking.
• Retain the online receipt for future reference, required during WBJEE 2024 counseling and admissions.

Step 5: Download the Confirmation Page
• Upon successful submission, download and print the generated confirmation page.
• Preserve the confirmation page for future reference.
