The Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2024
The eligibility criteria for NEET 2024 have undergone changes concerning subjects and types of schooling. Candidates who have studied or are studying Biology/Biotechnology as additional subjects, in addition to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, will now be eligible to participate in the examination. According to the official notice released by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the revised eligibility criteria for NEET 2024 state that "Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English shall be eligible for appearing in NEET-UG." This marks a departure from the previous requirement where only those candidates who studied these subjects as main or core subjects were considered eligible.
- The NEET eligibility criteria for 2024 can be summarized as follows:

- Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2024. The minimum date of birth for candidates should be on or before December 31, 2007. There is no upper age limit for NEET.
- Educational and Qualifying Marks Criteria: Candidates must have individually passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in the qualifying examination.
