About NEET PG 2024
The National Eligibility Entrance Test (Postgraduate) (NEET (PG)) is a qualifying and ranking examination in India designed for students aspiring to pursue various postgraduate medical programs such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Diplomate of National Board (DNB), and Doctorate of National Board (a direct 6-year course in specialized fields like Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Pediatric Surgery), along with diploma courses. These programs are offered in both government and private medical colleges across the country. NEET (PG) serves as the replacement for the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE). The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is responsible for conducting the examination, while the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) manages the counselling and seat allotment process.

The Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG 2024
Candidates are advised to review the following eligibility criteria for NEET PG before submitting their applications:
- General Eligibility:
- Qualification (MD/ MS/ PG Diploma): Applicants must hold a qualified MBBS degree or possess a Provisional MBBS pass certificate from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- Attempt Limit: There is no set limit on the number of attempts allowed for NEET PG. Candidates can participate in the examination as many times as necessary to secure admission to their desired course.
- Internship: Only those who complete the compulsory rotator internship of one year on or before August 2024 will be eligible to appear for the upcoming examination.
- Registration Certificate: Candidates must possess a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI), National Medical Commission (NMC), or any State Medical Council (SMC).
- Foreign Medical Graduates:
- Nationality: Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible.
- Internship: To be eligible, all foreign medical graduates must complete their internship on or before August 11, 2024.
- FMGE Pass Certificate: Candidates intending to appear for NEET PG, having completed their primary medical qualification outside India, must first qualify for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
- Registration Certificate: All foreign medical graduates must register with the MCI/SMC after obtaining the FMGE Pass Certificate. These candidates are required to submit a copy of the Registration Certificate to confirm their eligibility.
- NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Candidates Pursuing a Master’s Degree:
- Candidates currently pursuing a postgraduate (PG) course are eligible to apply for NEET PG 2024. However, it is essential to note that certain Universities/Institutes may have regulations that do not permit candidates in an ongoing PG course to participate in the admission process until the duration of their current PG program concludes. Therefore, such candidates are strongly advised to thoroughly review the eligibility requirements of the University/Institute they intend to enroll in before submitting their application for NEET PG 2024.

NEET PG 2024 Application Form Details
- The application form for NEET PG 2024 will be available online.
- Candidates can submit the application from the first week of January 2024.
- The registration process deadline is set for the second week of February 2024.
- Correction facility will be provided from the second to the third week of February 2024.
- Candidates should fill only one application form, as submitting more than one form will result in the rejection of candidature.
- All communication details will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID and phone number, so it must be valid and in working condition.
- Ensure that you ful fill each eligibility criterion, as the form will be accepted only from eligible candidates.
- Finally, don't forget to take a printout of the filled-in application form for future reference.
NEET PG 2024 Reservation Criteria
NEET PG 2024 reservation defines the limits on the allocation of seats to the reserved and non-reserved category candidates. Candidates of reserved category and non-reserved category must go through the NEET PG 2024 reservation criteria

- For States/Union Territories - 50% Quota Seats and Private Medical Colleges/Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities
- NEET PG 2024 reservation criteria for each State/Union Territory varies. The reservation quota is different in each state. Private Universities/Institutions can prepare their own merit list based on applicable regulations. The state quota remains undisturbed. NBE (National Board of Examination) provides details of qualified candidates for NEET PG. State/Universities have the freedom to create their NEET PG 2024 merit list based on their own criteria and reservation policies.

For Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions
- Candidates desiring seats in MD/MS/PG Diploma seats (AFMS) should select the option "Institutions of Armed Medical Services" during the application. Separate NEET PG Registration is required for AFMC through the government website. There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates in Armed Forces Institutions conducting Post Graduate Courses.

Steps to apply for NEET PG 2024
- Step 1: Registration
- Go to the official NBE website or click https://www.natboard.edu.in/
- Click on "NEET-PG."
- Select "New Registration"
- Enter all the required details for registration like name,DOB,Gender,Nationality,mobile Number etc
- Click on "Submit."
- User ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID and phone number.

- Select "Applicant login."
- Log in using the User ID and password sent by the administrator.
- Click on "Go to application form."
