What is GATE 2024:-
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a prestigious national-level exam that assesses candidates for comprehensive understanding in various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, and Humanities.
IISc (Indian Institute of Science) Bengaluru is the Organizing Institute for GATE 2024. GATE 2024 is being conducted by IISc Bengaluru and seven IITs comprising IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee, on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
GATE-qualified candidates have the opportunity to pursue Master's programs and direct Doctoral programs in various fields such as Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, and Humanities. These programs are offered in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government agencies, providing possible financial assistance. Additionally, GATE scores are utilized by certain colleges and institutions for admission to postgraduate programs, even without MoE scholarships. Furthermore, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also consider GATE scores for recruitment purposes.

GATE 2024 Eligibility Criteria:
Before submitting an application, candidates are strongly advised to ensure their compliance with the following eligibility criteria for GATE 2024.

Candidates currently in the 3rd year or beyond of any undergraduate degree program are eligible to apply for GATE 2024.
Candidates who have successfully completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, or Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.
Candidates holding certifications from professional societies/institutions such as IE, ICE, IETE, AeSI, IIChE, IIM, IIIE must ensure that these examinations are recognized by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Planning, etc.
Candidates who have obtained or are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India must either be currently in the 3rd year or beyond or have completed a Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum duration of three years) in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, or Humanities.
Any candidate meeting the above-mentioned criteria is deemed eligible to appear for GATE 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to thoroughly review and confirm their eligibility before proceeding with the GATE 2024 application process.

Steps to Fill GATE 2024 Application Form:
- Step 1: Registration
- Begin the GATE 2024 application process by registering through the GOAPS 2024 portal.
- Enter essential details including first name, middle name, surname, valid email ID, country of residence, and mobile number.
- Create a password and verify your registration by entering the OTP sent to your mobile number and email ID.
- Upon successful registration, you will be assigned a unique enrollment ID.
- Step 2: Application Form Completion
- Complete the GATE 2024 application form by providing personal details, academic history, communication details, and selecting the paper for the exam.
- Specify exam center preferences, provide details of the chosen photo ID proof, and submit the category certificate (if applicable for reserved categories).
